John Sevier
John is Managing Partner and Store Director. John has worked in retail and the wine industry for over a decade, mostly in Sonoma County's wine country. His love for wine runs deep and he's always thrilled to share his passion with anyone and everyone.
Tom Scott
John's partner and mentor, Tom, has developed multiple, multimillion dollar grocery ventures across the country and works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly here at Proof. California Pinot Noir and Zinfandel are his favorites!
Neal Pollock
Neal is our Assistant Manager, Certified Sommelier, and Beer Buyer, and has expertise in many aspects of the shop. Feel free to ask his favorite beer, wine, or spirit and you'll get a good recommendation. Neal has a baby due in December, so be sure to congratulate him and his wife, Allison, on the newest member of their family!
Emily King
Emily has been with us since the start, having joined Proof in 2023. She is a WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) level 3, a high honor in the industry, so you know you can trust her opinion on wine. She wears a number of hats in the wine industry and is currently focusing her studies on German wine.
Hannah Cunningham
Hannah is a chef, wine nerd, and entrepreneur who we are fortunate enough to have in our circle. She is a certified WSET level 2 and continues to grow her knowledge daily. Hannah is now opening her own shop, which will require most of her focus, but we're eager to support her in her new venture!
Bill Thayer
Bill joined us from a background in the culinary world, most recently at Wolf's Tailor, as a graduate of the Culinary Institute at Hyde Park and the Hashimoto Academy of Japanese Cuisine, among others. Bill is passionate about wine and food and is a great addition to our crew. Bill is currently running a program to teach about sake, and always invites an opportunity to share his wealth of knowledge!
Noah Price
Noah is the honorary Mayor of RiNo, a former owner of Proof and current owner of Crema Coffee House. He is a staple of the community and works tirelessly to keep the neighborhood thriving. Small and independent business are his passion, along with natural wine and spirits, and he has been a mentor, example, and friend of the shop since the start.
Billie!
Billie is the cutest of our staff and is always ready to greet our neighbors as they come in the shop. She helps out where she can and is eager to please, especially when treats are involved. She has a good nose for pairings, though she insists that everything pairs with treats.
